By enrolling in classes, workshops, or events at Monteiro Dance, you agree to the following policies. These are in place to ensure a safe, supportive, and enjoyable environment for all students.

1. Enrolment and Payments

All classes must be booked in advance. Places are limited and allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Payment for each term is required in full before the start of term unless a payment plan has been agreed in writing.

Fees are non-refundable except in exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of Monteiro Dance.

2. Attendance and Cancellations

Regular attendance is expected to ensure steady progress.

Refunds or transfers are not offered for missed classes.

In the rare event that Monteiro Dance cancels a class, we will either reschedule or provide a credit for the missed session.

3. Safeguarding and Welfare

The wellbeing of our students is our highest priority. Monteiro Dance follows safeguarding best practice to ensure all children and young people are taught in a safe, supportive environment.

All staff and assistants are required to maintain professional boundaries at all times.

Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring children are dropped off and collected promptly.

4. Health, Medical Conditions and Allergies

During the booking process, parents/guardians will be asked to provide emergency contact details, as well as information on any relevant medical conditions or allergies.

It is essential that this information is accurate and kept up to date.

Monteiro Dance takes no responsibility for injuries sustained during classes, rehearsals, or performances, except where negligence is proven.

5. Behaviour and Conduct

Respectful behaviour is expected from all students, parents, and guardians.

Disruptive or inappropriate conduct may result in removal from a class without refund.

We expect kindness, encouragement, and teamwork from all who attend.

6. Photography, Video and Media Consent

Monteiro Dance may take photos and videos during classes, rehearsals, and performances for promotional purposes on our website, social media, or printed materials.

Consent for photography and video is requested during the booking process. If you do not wish your child to appear in photos or videos, please indicate this clearly when enrolling.

7. Performances and Examinations

Performance and examination opportunities are offered at the discretion of teaching staff.

Students must commit to rehearsals and preparation in order to take part.

8. Personal Belongings

Monteiro Dance cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings brought to classes or events.

9. Data Protection and Privacy

All personal data provided during the booking process, including emergency contact information, medical details, and consent preferences, is stored securely and used only for class administration, safeguarding, and communication.

We do not share personal information with third parties.
